HBCU Band & Dance Camp 2026

HBCU AWARENESS FOUNDATION INAUGURAL BAND AND DANCE CAMP
Instructed by HBCU Band Directors and Local High School Band Directors
The Inaugural High School Band & Dance Camp, hosted by the HBCU Awareness Foundation, will take place July 8–10 in Memphis, Tennessee.
This three-day experience is designed specifically for 8th–12th grade students who are passionate about band, dance, performance, and leadership. Whether you are a musician, majorette, drum major, dancer, or aspiring collegiate performer, this camp will give you an authentic HBCU-style experience.
During the camp, students will:
- Train with experienced HBCU band directors and dance coaches
- Participate in high-energy rehearsals and master classes
- Learn HBCU traditions, performance techniques, and field presence
- Gain insight into college preparation and recruitment opportunities
- Build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills
This is more than a camp — it’s an opportunity to experience the culture, excellence, and legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities while preparing for the next level.
Registration Cost: $150
50% Deposit Due: May 10
Registration Deadline: July 3rd
Cost includes 3 days of instruction, a camp shirt, and lunch on the last day
